alan, I expect these to be much lower TDP... like less than 100, unless Intel decides to ramp speeds much higher than I expect.

Then what speeds do you expect, at launch and throughout the year? It´s a bit of an empty statement without that information.

Dempsey should be 150W TDP. Why are you surprised by that? Look at Smithfield at 3.2GHz, now consider 3.8GHz. 65nm isn't going to buy much for the Prescott core. Paxville will be an even bigger disaster, of course, stuck at 90nm, which is why it will have low clocks, like Smithfield, and if the Inq is right, only 2.8GHz for the 2MB L2 x 2 version.

You can tell a lot about 65nm TDPs by Intel's evasiveness on their recent CC. Asked about their 65nm server TDPs, they said, essentially, "well, 90nm Paxville is going to have an increased TDP, and then the 65nm parts will operate within that envelope."

I think you can translate that as well as I can.
