Most brokers (including Schwab) do follow a modified uptick rule for shorting NYSE stocks AH, but the only real requirment is that the price is at or above the NYSE close.
They also have been known to not follow it real closely, but the NYSE supposedly requires it. There are no uptick requirments for shorting NAZ stocks in AH trading.
