Former Ron Paul Staffer Defends Paul Against Charges of Bigotry with Disturbing Examples of Bigotry

Faced with contradictory evidence from his bile-filled newsletters and his more benign public statements, voters are faced with a difficult question: Is Ron Paul a closet bigot or just a particularly unscrupulous prostitute/wily politician, willing to take money from the worst dregs of society without attending to their needs?
One arbiter of the dispute is Eric Dondero, a former staffer who worked with Ron Paul from 1987 to 2003 and argues that, though Paul's views are substantively misguided, he is neither a racist, nor an anti-Semite, nor a homophobe. Fair warning, reading Dondero defend Paul's character .. http://rightwingnews.com/election-2012/statement-from-fmr-ron-paul-staffer-on-newsletters-anti-semitism/ .. is kind of like watching a monkey fly an airplane. It's hilarious, yes, but you know immediately that it's not going to end well…
Is Ron Paul a homo-phobe? Well, yes and no. He is not all bigoted towards homosexuals…
Jim Peron [a Ron Paul supporter] was what you would call very openly Gay. But Ron thought the world of him… We used Jim's home/office as a "base." Ron pulled me aside the first time we went there, and specifically instructed me to find an excuse to excuse him to a local fast food restaurant so that he could use the bathroom. He told me very clearly, that although he liked Jim, he did not wish to use his bathroom facilities.
How quirky! But you can never be too careful, lest The Gay be transmitted, not through shared bathroom facilities, but by people who invade Paul's personal sovereign space with an extended hand…
"Bobby," a well-known and rather flamboyant and well-liked gay man in Freeport came to the BBQ. Let me stress Ron likes Bobby personally, and Bobby was a hardcore campaign supporter. But after his speech, at the Surfside pavilion Bobby came up to Ron with his hand extended, and according to my fellow staffer, Ron literally swatted his hand away.
On the bright side, "there were a few Jews in our congressional district, and Ron befriended them," so checkmate, Paul skeptics.

Conspiracy Theorists Believe Actual Republican Candidates Are Tied Up Somewhere
Obama a Prime Suspect
DES MOINES (The Borowitz Report) – A growing number of conspiracy theorists believe that the Republican candidates who keep showing up for televised debates are impostors and that the actual GOP candidates are tied up in a warehouse somewhere.
“There’s no way that these people are the actual candidates,” said Tracy Klugian, a leading conspiracy theorist who subscribes to the warehouse theory. “The American people need to stand up and demand the return of the real ones.”
Mr. Klugian, who started the website WhereAreTheRealOnes.com, .. http://bit.ly/v6QlWc .. said he started suspecting “something was up” months ago when the “supposed Republican candidates started debating,” but last night’s debate in Iowa left little doubt in his mind that the actual Republican candidates have been detained elsewhere.
“When the most sensible person onstage is Ron Paul,” he said, “you know that what you’re witnessing is an elaborate hoax.”
Conspiracy theorists like Mr. Klugian leave little doubt who might be behind the conspiracy to tie up the actual candidates at some remote location: President Barack Obama.
“If you could ensure that you’d be running against Newt Gingrich or Mitt Romney, wouldn’t you?” he said. “When the truth about this conspiracy comes out, it’s going to make what happened with the aliens at Roswell look like a game of duck-duck-goose.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Klugian said he remains “baffled” by people who insist on believing that the seven people who debated last night in Iowa are the actual Republican candidates.
“There’s no way you can believe that if you actually watched the debate,” he said. “It was like a sitcom with no main characters and just wacky neighbors.”
