Generally no but there are exceptions......Nuclear stuff, advanced weapons, and things that like..... Power Companies!

no, but the same people that own the means of production also own most of the politicians, reinforced by the supreme court ruling that allows the owners to buy politicians legally, as corporations.

Our country has basically always been that way, starting with the landed gentry being the founding fathers... the framers weren't peasant farmers or gynecologists with grandiose delusions. J/K hope you have a great family feast and sharing of the bounty of your past year.
