#22875 RE: phrantic #22874

I overlooked that application in my response, but the same deployment capabilities would possibly apply. A unit assigned to one hospital or hospital campus would not be subject to the same stresses as a unit sitting in a warehouse that would be moved by materials handling equipment to a truck, transported to an airport, offloaded, transported to a warehouse, loaded on a pallet, transported to and loaded on an aircraft, offloaded and the process reversed. After ground transport (possibly over unimproved roads) to the deployment location it would be unpacked and put into service. At the end of the deployment the packing and transportation process would be repeated.

This process would repeat for real world contingencies and field training and disaster exercises.

This is a valid mission, but may (IMO) require some modifications for durability and specially designed packaging for long term storage and transportation. These modifications, if required would not be a problem. They would be a challenge over which MZEI would be victorious.
