#37554 RE: Sheeple O Plenty #37541

I didn't say FINRA issues "categories" for pink sheet stocks. Perhaps you didn't read the original question? And by the way, it's "tiers" not "categories. Good grief. Anyway, the original question was, how long can a company remain Caveat Emptor? And I replied that OTC does not regulate a maximum length of time a company can remain on the CE. Theoretically, a company could stay CE indefinitely if they took no action, and didn't provide the necessary filings with OTC. If a company does provide the necessary information to OTC to be uplisted, this process almost always takes 30 days for OTC to approve an uplist. However, if a company doesn't provide the minimum listing requirements, they can sit as a CE indefinitely unless halted by FINRA or suspended by the SEC. OTC does not halt or suspend stocks, however OTC will remove symbols and quotes from their system if there is an action by FINRA or the SEC. In regards to your cut and paste, it is up to FINRA to halt or not halt a CE security, and up to the SEC to suspend or not suspend a security. Again, OTC does not halt or suspend securities. So I'm sorry to say, it's you who has bad information.
