I believe those supplies were what is commonly known as "duel use" supplies. We have the list and do you know why we haven't said gotcha about those supplies? Because they were for the "other use." We got all excited in the fall about metal tubes that could be used in making nuclear weapons, well they could also be used in water treatment and as we had bombed sewage and water treatment plants (I guess to make the civilians uncomfortable with disease being just a collateral damage) and walla they used them for that, go figure.

France and Germany oppose the US war effort against Iraq. If France and Germany are supply Saddam, aren't they equally culpable? If Russia, France, and Germany are involved isn't that more reason to seek diplomatic dialogue and hopefully resolution? Or do we think we can just bomb Saddam and the problem will go away?... Poof?.. Don't we see the potential here, the risk? WWIII - US [and Tony Blair!] v. the World?... I think we could be stirring a dangerous pot here, and a military offensive may not be a prudent approach. I don't think our government is telling the whole story, or truth....

There's N Korea, Iran, the "axis", China, Japan, the EU, Islamic militants..... None of whom see George Bush or the US as "White Knights".... Are we being placed in the eye of the storm? Civility and diplomacy are the proper approach, imo...
