Maybe that's where the differences are. I am convinced that opportunity is there for anyone who seeks it.
There are just too many "rags-to-riches" success stories around that tell of opportunities seized by members of all skin colors and socio-economic groups.
One can wait for an opportunity to present itself (if it ever does) or one can go out and make opportunities happen. I prefer the latter option.
It would be unrealistic to suppose that all opportunities are available to everyone. Some are not in the right place at the right time. Some are not sufficiently aware to recognize the opportunity when it appears. Some are hesitant and tentative when aggressive boldness is a pre-requisite.
But, opportunities abound for those who realistically want them and are willing to answer the door when they knock.
