No one is going to defend Saddamm on this thread, or anywhere else. If he ends up a burned corpse in his bunker no one's going to care. You will in fact hear a lot of applause.

But what does that have to do with waging a war against Iraq ?
In the old days when the CIA was competent, we got rid of the bad guys more efficiently. Now you are saying the US Army has to wade through a rag-tap army of peasants defending their homes just so we can take out Saddamm ?

I would be more subtle. I'd send him 100 belly-dancers for his amusement. If that didn't do the "trick" then another 100, and another. Old man's heart has to give out somewhere through the might, and he would think he went to heaven. So everybody wins.
