Great idea Susie,

But a temporary workaround is just to add the poster to your fav list.

You can always remove them after the search.

Susie:

I don't understand what your question is (not that you were asking me), but I try to learn what I can on this board.

I can search for anyone whether they are on my favorites list or not, so I don't see how that can be what you are asking.

For example, if I type in "Susie924" and choose "Public Msgs", I get all your posts. No offense, but you aren't on my favorite's list.

What am I missing?

Nobody seems to care really. Search is a casualty of growth and most of the profits from that growth seem to be focused on something else.

Is there anyway that the search criteria can be changed where you do not
have to have someone on your favorite posters list to do a search.
Can the box give you the option to pull someone from your list
OR type in a posters name if you don't have them on your list?

ok,
Good thing grubduck Dave didn't answer with "too complex to do"
since Bob'nZ already has the code developed, tested and implanted.

location,
Go to any board you is the moderator, click onto Manage,
and then into Manage Assistants.

The last time i tried this it didn't let me type in a member name,
but i needed to go thru the Search Members to locate the person,
which was easy and actually a good way to make the chosen less faulty.

now,
No reason your request can not be mimic'ed to choose a single board
when its not on your Favorites, and you use the same procedure
in a Search Subjects to locate it.
