Congrats Bob, 7 % was a very good week. I was only up 4.2 % in Canadian dollars, the significant rise in the Canadian dollar cost me about 3 % for the week, otherwise would have been in the same ballpark. I keep numerous stats of this nature. How have you done over the last 12 months (1 year to the day)? I'm up 63 % over that period. My comparative benchmark (an average of five indexes - Rus, Nas, Dow, S&P 500 and TSX) is up 12.0 % (excludes dividends of course). The 12 % is a little higher than you might expect as the TSX was up 20 % over the period. I expect my 12 month performance to rise substantially over the next month, mainly because I had a poor July through mid August of last year and am not expecting a recurrence this July-August. I'm curious not for bragging rights but only because I'm always looking to improve my strategies, and my starting point is always performance (i.e. matter of fact, if someone was up only 30 % then there's probably not much to learn from their strategies, but if someone was up 100 % then maybe there's some real good value in understanding the employed strategy).
