outside chance that Sprycel could be available as a generic in the US market around the same time as a Gleevec generic. An undisclosed party submitted a Sprycel ANDA and Paragraph-IV challenge in Jun 2011:

I think it's very likely just a generic company "getting in line" to be first for exclusivity when the patent finally expires. I've not heard anything to cast any doubt on the Sprycel patents.
