I'd forgotten about the 2m discount for early payment .... scanning for it now in the book, don't see it mentioned in a couple of places where the Salamandra deal is explained .... hmm, you'd think it should be ... probably buried somewhere
Yes i know what you mean, about the relative shareprices having arguably too much weight in the fairness opinion .... there is a philosophy that says, let the market decide ... and of course it was just circumstance of timing that led the market to decide in the way it did, like you say ..... if ego had not gotten in the way, we'd have had this merger over and done with months ago, at parity for ngt holders, imho ..... he who hesitates, etc
But it's getting done now, and here we go ..... another way to look at it, is there has been considerable opportunity to pick up cheap shares in either company, since the merger announcement ... so, everybody's had a chance to make up that fifteen per cent, and more
