Not sure exactly. My guess is that some news has leaked. We may know in a week when Q3 earnings come out. Guidance is around $1 eps, but they usually beat that number by a good margin.
TSTC did mention they were exploring options about going private a few weeks ago and the rumor is that the CEO, Mr. Han has been in the US the past 2 weeks (I can't confirm that).
We are also awaiting news about a possible deal with América Móvil in Mexico as well as new US contracts. Read past msgs for more info on those.
Trailing PE is only 3 and TSTC is expecting $5 eps in 2012. New facility is half-built and will be up and running in May....6 buildings with a half-billion annual output.
The primary negative of TSTC has been the large amount of A/R's due to slow pay from the Chinese 3 telecoms. Maybe they collected a large amount in Q3.
I'm not so sure this is a short squeeze, but the HRBN deal has them spooked. We have 1.5 M shares short (about 20% of float) so it is possible.
