That bit of oversight on the part of Maria and whatshisname is entirely understandable. They both had spent the previous 5 minutes in a prolonged state of orgasmic rapture over the split and dividend news, and were smoking a cigarette while they came back down.
The hyperbole and waxing ecstatic that came after the news first came out should have been embarrassing, even to CNBC - if there ever was a sell signal, that was it.
