iknowaguy -- seems to me the admin has to deal with the enabled and emboldened Iran that inevitably resulted from dubya's/the neo-cons' brilliant Iraq gambit, removing and pretty much obliterating the Sunni counterweight on Shia Iran's west and placing it in Shia hands, extending that frontier to Kuwait and Saudi Arabia and so forth around Iraq's border -- substantially pull away from that area, reduce our presence close/proximate to Iran, now? -- I wouldn't think so; it's not just our imagination, they are acting up a bit (with their Imadinnerjacket who never would have been elected if it hadn't been for dubya&co's 'axis of evil' bit that so hacked off the Iranians that they went ahead and elected their own blowhard jackass in retaliation) -- and it's not just Iran, it's AfPak and all still involved with that of course, with its own eye on Iran (still leaves us with boots on the ground along their east) -- doubt any President could allow a major lessening of our embrace of Iran at this time -- and can see how any Prez would probably just as soon have and keep that bunch stationed in Kuwait for the time being, all things considered
