rato, the idea is appealling since I'd be motivated to liquidate two RTO's that were trash - CLNT and CPQQ - to buy the puts. If you're hunch is right, I more than make back what I lost on them. If not, I get a tax loss on them that I need anyways and small loss next year when the options fizzle. Either way, it's a lottery ticket.
I'm too busy to actively trade now. Other than the two above I have one other "accidental investment" where I was too busy to make my exit. The rest are all scattered and even contradictory to hedge each other.
My sole investment focus is trying to figure out how to legally use IRA money to buy into a foreign (British - not Chinese) private placement. Alas, I think that's impossible and I'll need to use "current" funds.
