The right keeps pounding on this as proof of Bush's brilliance. Please explain. The latest official reason for the war in Iraq is to free the people. To give them a better life and to rebuild their country. What's so brilliant about selecting a country you wish to liberate and rebuild as the epicenter for the war on terror? Part of the strategy (intentional or otherwise) is to attract every terrorist on earth to Iraq where some time in the future the hard right conservative mind believes that the very last terrorist alive will be killed or captured. Until such time, they'll keep pouring into Iraq, blowing up everything in sight while we keep liberating and rebuilding. If a terrorist roach motel is what we were after all along, why didn't we just stay in the Afghan mountains and let the global terrorist community blow up their own hillsides and caves?
