The electrical manufacturers I worked for (37 years) reported sales figures per product type, not the number of units, to NEMA...National Electrical Manufacturers Association. From that, the reporting companies touted their market share per product classifiction. They kept the actual number count confidential to the public, but if 4 companies report, and each knows the other guys market share, within a reasonable range of +/- 5% the quantity can be determined, but what real value is that?

It is highly probable OMPG will not report quantity of down loads, not to inform the competition, and since there is no organization that governs this space, no need to share the info.

I'm not saying I'll end up being right, but it's common sense from my work experience not to tout the numbers.

If this were a "product" such as a smart phone, all but one I think(??) of the manufacturers report, but I do not believe it's a requirement, just braging rights.

Make any sense?
