It is true that Iraqi troops are coming on stream, but I believe that we could use more US (or Brit) troops for the interim period. Like I said, though, the left would love nothing more than for Bush to send more troops over there - they would have a field day. There is not an ounce of recognition in them that it might be the best thing to do for our nation (or Iraq) and for the troops already over there, it would be just another tool for them to go after Bush which is the only thing that matters to them.

Funny you must be the only one who knows how many trained Iraqi troops are fighting. Just this week when Senator McCain asked how many troops have been fully trained the military would not answer this in public. Of course the prior week the up commander in Iraq said we have 3 battalions and will need 107 before we can reduce our troop strength. Our resident idiot - Bush last night gave a speech and said when the Iraqi's can stand on their own we can start to bring our troops home. But now we can't get that information.

I get the feeling that more and more administration officials are sounding like Clinton did when he said it depends on what the definition of "is" is.
