I have already answered that question, you just did not like the answer. The liberals are giving encouragement to the terrorists, just as they did to the viet cong. That is not to say that there would be no terrorists if we were united in our resolve to win this war, but they would be far fewer and their own resolve would be greatly lessened.
As for guerilla wars being unwinnable, that is not always the case, but the nation fighting the war has to united in their resolve to wage the war and willing to make the commitment to do all that is necessary to win the war. Secondly, the indigenous people have to be unsupportive of the insurgents to any significant degree. I believe the latter condition is currently very much in our favor, but the former is not.
