Beyond The Battlefield: Video Portraits Of Lives Reconstructed

For six months, David Wood, The senior military correspondent the Huffington Post, has explored the remarkable situation of thousands of young men and women who suffered catastrophic injuries on the battlefields of Iraq and Afgahnistan and yet have been revived using state of the art medical techniques. His portraits of the soldiers, their families and the medical professionals helping them have been reported in the ten-part series "Beyond The Battlefield."
At 4PM Friday, October 21, at the conclusion of the series, Wood will appear in a live video webcast, called Beyond The Battlefield Live, to talk about the series and answer questions posed by readers.
Joining Wood on the webcast will be Bobby Henline, a former staff sergeant in the 82nd Airborne who suffered deep burns to his face, left arm and a hand that was later amputated. Henline, who now performas as a standup comic discusses his feelings about the reactions people have to his disfigurement in the seventh installment of the series.
