Re: Awhile back people were discussing the Apple news to use Intel chips. I remember some AMD posters saying this was good for AMD and smart by Apple. Because Intel had the resources to make it happen for Apple and in the end could enable a new market for AMD. AMD could not make it happen!
Good point! I think in order to pacify things with AMD, Intel would have to give them a couple fabs and enough customer deals to enable AMD for 50% MSS for free! Then they should back down from every sale onward to allow AMD a chance to get it with their miniscule marketing budget. Oh, and also hand-hold AMD with each new standard they drive, even if AMD wants to include features that would retard Intel's competitiveness. And when AMD loses money, Intel should compensate until they break even.
Maybe then, we'll get world peace, and terrorists in Iraq will throw down their guns and their beliefs and unite together to stop world hunger. Maybe this is what the 'Droids have in mind, given how passionate they get over one company's competitive advantage in the free market.
