I think that is a great idea. The only problem is that it is about a week too late IMO. Many of the people that have made picks or will make picks will not be reading this board again. It would be completely unfair to have some rule that they did not get to take advantage of. We don't need half the people claiming they was robbed all during the contest.
The exception on the 25 cent rule is fair because the people that already picked may have had a stock that could have dropped below 25 cents or they may not have. If they did, they are covered. I suspect if they had really wanted a 20 cent stock, they would have picked it and waited to see if it would make 25 cents before picking a replacement. I just think it is too late to change the rules now.
However, if you notice, we called this VMC Pick Six Lotto 1 (PSL1). That should tell you that we plan to do it again. Who knows, maybe every six months. The next one will be PSL2 and so forth. This might very well be a good consideration for PSL2. You are right that a portion of all of our (less HW perhaps) portfolios are "other types" of stocks. As long as the stock is trackable by SSK, I think having 1 freebie (tying in ZCC) and 5 that fit the VMC rules is not a bad idea at all.
