One other point...if its licensed it will achieve an install base very quickly...that creates a barrier to entry for competitors provided the designers can continue to innovate properly. Once the big three and or the gov't decide(s) to make the unit a standard item on all fleets and the fleet MPG crushes the gov't mandated MPG H2GO will be the standard and its really hard to knock off the standard without a huge technological leap and through innovation the original designer should be the one making the huge leaps. It would be foolish for this company to think it can ramp up production fast enough to meet the demand once the unit proves out. The demand curve will go vertical. The margins from Mfgr aren't that great...that is why APPLE outsources, that is why NIKE outsources etc. The Big three do a lot of assembly but part mfgr is outsourced for the most part.
