"BRING 'EM ON"

A suicide bombing took the lives of 6 more service persons yesterday. As we approach 1800 service persons dead in Iraq, how foolish "BRING 'EM ON" sounds now.

But GW is a fool surrounded by lots of crafty people.

The Buck Stops with Lynndie England (or Newsweek)
May 24, 2005
by Mike Reinholz

A presidential administration reflects the man at the top. Harry Truman proudly displayed a plaque emblazoned with "The Buck Stops Here." Bush, on the other hand, accepts responsibility for nothing. His motto is "The Buck Stops with Lynndie England" (or whoever else is convenient, such as Newsweek.)

I knew dozens of kids like Bush when I was in school. They were bullies and blowhards, the lot of them. Zero integrity and zero intellectual curiosity. Many of these people ended up in jail because they lacked a moral compass. (For the defining portrait of a Bush-like prep school bully, watch "The Scent of a Woman" with Al Pacino.)

I can't believe we elected (appointed) one of these lazy bullies as President of the United States (remember the mockery of Bush's "Bring 'em on" taunt?). Now we are reaping the whirlwind as our reputation around the world plummets. Torture is officially sanctioned, 100,000 people are dead in a war based on a pack-of-lies, our deficit skyrockets, health care costs are soaring, energy costs are soaring, and now Bush wants to eviscerate Social Security, shredding the New Deal safety net for the working class, while at the same time giving humongous tax cuts to millionaires. My dying father can't even get desperately needed 24/7 healthcare because the insurance companies and Medicare refuse to pay for it.

And yet despite this terrible performance, Bush goose steps around the world with rose-colored classes screaming "mandate" and pretending like he is doing God's will. All the while, the mainstream media enables this maniacal behavior by refusing to broadcast the facts, instead giving equal weight to GOP spin and actual reality.

The latest example of dereliction of duty by the mainstream media is their refusal to broadcast the damning Downing Street Memo, which proves Bush "fixed" the facts around his policy on Iraq. In other words, he lied. As British Parliament member George Galloway powerfully said before the Senate, because of these lies, "100,000 people paid with their lives; 1600 of them American soldiers sent to their deaths on a pack of lies; 15,000 of them wounded, many of them disabled forever on a pack of lies."

When things inevitably went wrong in Iraq (didn't Bush see" Lawrence of Arabia?"), Bush blames lowly Lynndie England, a poor working class girl from West Virginia. Bush is the ultimate boss from hell who gives up the lowest worker in the factory when he makes a mistake.

Compared to the perceived failures of President Nixon, who resigned, and President Clinton, who was impeached, the crimes of President Bush are infinitely worse. When Nixon tried to cover up a third rate burglary, nobody died. When Clinton was entrapped into lying about sex, nobody died. When Bush lied about WMDs, 100,000 people died.

Bush should be impeached for high treason. Bush should be tried as a war criminal. The world will demand accountability on this gross abuse of power.

When is the buck going to stop with President Bush?

When is the mainstream media going to start broadcasting reality as the rest of the world sees it (watch BBC), and not GOP-manufactured spin spoon-fed to them by Karl Rove and Rush Limbaugh?

As Daniel Patrick Moynihan said, "Everyone is entitled to their own opinion -- but not their own facts."

When is the buck going to stop with President Bush?

PegnVA... The war isn't against Iraq.
The war is against violent, Islamic fundamentalists that want to kill Americans. They are in many countries. Terror is thier weapon.

BTW it's 1700 not 17,000. And your right an enemy willing to strap a bomb to his body and kill himself as well as ten's of others doesn't matter!
