Yep, the pleasant outdoor evenings are drawing to close, again, as the calendar continues that relentless march toward winter.
Just finished off another of the 'Joya del Jefe' sticks sitting out on my deck, in shorts and a tee shirt, with a big glass of .... iced tea with lemon, watching the darkness descend over the lake, and listening to the crickets. They're a good smoke, not a great one.
I've had some 'dollar' smokes that were petty good and I've had some seven - ten dollar smokes that were prety much barnyard trash .. as I am sure you have. If I had to pick just one smoke, for better or worse, richer or poorer, till death do us part, I'd likely go with the Fuente sungrowns, or the Don Tomas sungrowns. They're both pretty consistent, one to the next, and I don't recall getting any real 'duds' wearing either of those bands. I just like the challenge of scouring the possibles for a good cheapie.
Throw those 'yard gars' into a couple of plastic bags and a sealed cardboard box, and send 'em my way. I ain't proud. I'll reimburse you for the postage .. LOL
Enjoy what's left of the summer. These autumn evenings are the perfect cigar nights.
