I'd be surprised if you were completely wrong; however, this is a very large company, and there simply have got to be a slew of other good reasons for this. I don't think such paranoia is really justified.
In the very long term, GE should test that bottom in the $22 dollar area, but maybe not. Who knows. Personally I think the downside in GE is limited to $30 over the next 18-24 months, but wtfdik?
I'm just suggesting a possible reason for the volatility last two days. IN the big picture I don't think it means much. If anything, I'd suggest it is a very positive development for the company. The top GE leadership team is very savvy, and I would strongly disagree with anyone comparing them, say, with the government leadership. These guys are not criminals.
