FDX Trade Talk: Moral of the Story

FA- Thanks for the opportunity to review this trade.

Sometimes doing the right thing has its rewards. When I shorted FDX in the beginning of June, I wasn’t concerned about the financial consequence. The share price actually went up 2 days in a row. At the time, I just felt that selling some FDX shares was about the only right thing I could’ve done within my own power, as a trader and as a patriot.

I didn’t feel as direct and as personal going with Put option. After all, this trade is personal. Here’s the link to my original thesis again.

I believe if FDX would concentrate on improving its services as FDX should and not as FBI, it would’ve been different. The management was arrogant and self-righteous. I wonder if they’d still advocate putting customer and shareholders interest behind their silly rent-a-cop ideology.
