Unfortunately, the shock waves are rattling some of the very industries that make Alabama who we are. Construction, agriculture and the poultry industries account for a majority of the skilled-labor jobs in our state. In the wake of the judge’s ruling, these industries are left to deal with a huge workforce shortage and are unable to fill that void with local labor.
