I have a gardening journal which I try to write notes every day; the Ten Wild Edibles are listed in it for next year's planting.
I have a sloping hill on the north side of my house which always gets sun. I have determined to dedicate it to Wild Edibles. I will take time to remove the existing ground cover, but things thrive in this area.
Next spring will be very busy, as I want to plant miniature pear, apple, and peache trees on my neighbor's front lawn. When is the best time to plant an orchard? Ten years ago. When is the best time to plant asparagus crowns? Three years ago. The list goes on incessantly, but these questions and answers reflect one thing: Dare to Pare Early!
