I don't think that it's going to be any "surprise" scenario, :-) more of a slow and steady executing of their new business plan and the resultant rise of the PPS.
While Q3 estimates vary (I've seen one that says in the black and another in the red, but improved) everyone from the analysts to Campanelli realizes that in every sense of the word we are in a market perform situation: if the economy improves then the S&P will improve then FPC will improve.
Under the current notice they've got until 2/12 to get above a buck, and if necessary they'll file for a 6-month extension which is almost always granted. Realistically, that gives them until 8/12 to get back over a buck which is certainly doable if (and again, it's a big if) the economy improves.
FWIW, I made a huge averaging-down error on July 27 and jumped in with both feet way, way too early. I've been buying steadily the past few weeks and have managed to get my average below $1. If I was new to FBC I'd look at a PPS in the low .50's as a screaming buy, and I'm surprised that there's not more mention of it on some of the other trading boards.
