You choose your location, Californians live on the edge, they thumb their nose at the threat, that is commendable.
i would live in Northern California as an option, but as i am fatalist anyway, i would accept the earthquake of earthquakes happening.
Is their really any Californian that doubts this plus 9 earthquake is coming someday??? Do not all live with the gamble that it will not be in their lifetime??
Absolutely no one knows when, the time that it happens is the time it will happen, be it tomorrow or 500 years from now--but it is inevitable.
But i suspect not too many know that those that live within 200 miles of New Madrid, Missouri live in as much danger as Californians.
There were two 8 to 9 level earthquakes there in 1811 and 1812.
Now the whole area is heavily populated.
They have placed the chance of magnitude 6 or higher earthquake there at 90% for before 2040.

Actually on watching a computer scenario of platetectonics of the West Coast they showed a scenario where virtually the whole coastline of California falls into the ocean--and nothing "sci-fyee" about it, just hard, computer demonstratable science.
But also, there have been random disaster events at least twice since 250million years ago that has wiped out 95% of all species of life on the planet.
These are random chance events, so NO time at all can be placed on them, it could be a year before we see that giant asteroid heading right at us or it will never ever happen---these events are not inevitable, they are category ,random chance.
Like we are so all meant to be:)
Again, i write these things, as a person that is ultra spiritual to the Max.Curious, no?
