I actually love to track and follow gaps....and RMBS is no stranger to having gaps. Most charts end up having a few.
On my charts is I can focus in on certain dates and pull up a historical chart.
So - stroll down memory lane with me... If I am correct Jan 2006 would correlate with a court decision, right? Because that was the summer of my RMBS deck!
Note two things of interest; The gaps with Volume, and the simples in order which I also track (red, white and blue...so its easy to see. ;)
I love common gaps because they give me numbers to add to a stock at.
but I can hate a common gaps because I don't want them showing up, threatening a pull back when I feel it's time for the stock to move up.
I love breakaways Those great gaps with HUGE volume! The "Black Jacks" of gaps... because that's what we all hope for in a stock - the mad rush to new heights.
Common gaps always fill...Breakaways "may never fill" (although with a market/world/economy like the one we have for 'the new generation'...I wouldn't hold my breath on that old concept. They might just take a very long time to do it)
