iMmINeNt RApTUre -- laughable jibber-jabber

to cite that piece, as if it even begins to 'reason' anything other than or beyond that intellectually utterly befuddled author's own manifest categorical refusal to accept or actually deal with anything that doesn't conform to the dictates of his or her own pre-set both absolute and hugely denying of reality belief, is quite frankly kinda pathetic

if your God put all of the overwhelming very real evidence of evolution (in the full sense) over a vastness of time into what is just to test our faith, where those of us who, using the reason He gave us find such evidence superior to contrary belief mandated by the faith He demands, shall be damned, doesn't that reduce Him to nothing more than a very powerful ill-willed prankster, a sadistic narcissistic SuperBrat, just another jackass?

and if He can create anything He wants (and He isn't just another jackass), why then did He create this universe, and extravagantly imperfect us within it, as He did? -- are there rules, is there something greater, more immutable, which He has to follow, within which He has to live?

I really would appreciate your reply to these questions

You're fucking kidding, right?

This is the level of your interest in science?

iMmINeNt RApTUre, re Chromosome 2 .. if you were really interested in understanding
our origin rather than just providing sugary coating to cover your pile of bs you would have
posted something as this one, rather than your dishonest contribution on chromosome 2.

Do you see all the information here that your dismal obfuscation omits to mention? Your piece is a lie by omission.

Further information: Genes of the Chromosome 2 fusion site in chimpanzees

All members of Hominidae except humans have 24 pairs of chromosomes. Humans have only 23 pairs of chromosomes. Human chromosome 2 is widely accepted to be a result of an end-to-end fusion of two ancestral chromosomes.

Fusion of ancestral chromosomes left distinctive remnants of telomeres, and a vestigial centromere

The evidence for this includes:

* The correspondence of chromosome 2 to two ape chromosomes.

* The closest human relative, the chimpanzee, has near-identical DNA sequences to human chromosome 2, but they are found in two separate chromosomes. The same is true of the more distant gorilla and orangutan.

* The presence of a vestigial centromere. Normally a chromosome has just one centromere, but in chromosome 2 there are remnants of a second centromere. The presence of vestigial telomeres. These are normally found only at the ends of a chromosome, but in chromosome 2 there are additional telomere sequences in the middle.

Chromosome 2 presents very strong evidence in favour of the common descent of humans and other apes. According to researcher J. W. IJdo, "We conclude that the locus cloned in cosmids c8.1 and c29B is the relic of an ancient telomere-telomere fusion and marks the point at which two ancestral ape chromosomes fused to give rise to human chromosome 2."
