Sure benz but I am not a lawyer. Most of that stuff gets done long before the arresting officer arrives in court.
There is a vetting process during the jury selection pre-trial part.
A "pool" of possible jurors is called and the prosecution and defense lawyers are allowed to question them and exclude persons they do not like.
A prosecutor does not want a marijuana activist on the jury for a drug case. The defense does.
They don't get unlimited exclusions but the whole idea is to find a tilted jury. They even make deals outside of court.
Mention "fully informed jury" though and they will both exclude you. FIJ means you feel able to judge the law itself, not just the case as presented. Some States will charge you with "contempt" for even mentioning it! Either way you will never get called for jury again.
Since I have been out of the business for 10 years I only know what I know. I wish it was more.
