The process is 'rocket science' and a project of this size will come with many problems......just as some of the hopefully 'elegant' solutions will come with their problems as well.
JMHO based on my project manager position experience, in a 'rocket science' business, more than a few years ago at AeroJet General in So CA...one of my jobs was to find the solutions for any potential problems before they ever, if ever, happened.
it left me critical, skeptical and overly cautious all my life since.....sorry.
