Each trial has 375 patients and uses a response-guided duration of treatment.
Does anyone know if Medivir's combo trial with the VRUS nuke has started yet and when that is expected to conclude? If I were to take a position in Medivir, and I still have them way up on my watchlist, I'd kind of like to wait until I believe that combo trial is reasonably well along to avoid the potential of Medivir and VRUS running into the same type of safety issue that IDIX experienced when they combined an HCV nuke and PI. While I think the odds are that was just an IDIX-specific issue with their drug(s), I guess there still exists a (very?) small chance that there could be some class effect from combining an HCV nuke and PI. That said, I don't know that I'd want to wait until the full results are released since I think the odds are that this will be a successful trial.
