Rick,

I don't think Jim took offence with your posts on the subject of drinking and driving a boat.

I know it didn't bother me, and few people bend the elbow any more than I do.

If any thing, drinking and driving a boat is worse than the same with a car.

The main difference with a boat is you at least can set it up with auto-pilot.

Seriously though, a boat captain has to be a lot more aware of what's going on around them than the aveage automobile driver.

All of that said, how about the two idiots that got caught and were on trial in the last week or so that were operating a commercial jet while under the influence with 170+/- people on board?

They are now in prison and they will probably never fly a commercial plane again.

Serves them right.

No apology necessary. I don't allow booze on my fishing boat, not even beer.

However when cruising on other people's boats and I'm not to be captain the next day, anything can happen.
