That rumor is a scam; there will be no buy-out.

But what is not a scam is that their European partner, doing open-label trials for them, has been buying the stock furiously for months now !

I saw a similar rumor (Portuguese company buyout) on the PARS board the other day.

Oops... make that PARSD for the next 20 trading days (due to the 5-1 reverse split).

However it (the rumor) had zero effect on the stock price, which for PARS is appropriate... Aiming4.

P.S. If shorting was a part of my arsenal (it's not yet), I would again consider PARS a great short candidate at this time.
