If they did, I don't remember it. At the very least, Apple getting involved (or more involved) is good for everyone in the space. If mobile barcodes catch on like they should, money will be made. The rising tide will lift all boats. Nobody reaches the key demographics quite like Apple. If they're promoting the use of mobile barcodes, the direction for the space is up.
