JonE -If you and J11 will address the NIJ question, that would be great !
The NIJ Cert issue is relevant due to the PR of 7/8:
"Bourque Industries announced today that it submitted its application to the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) for its NIJ-06 ballistic armor certification...Bourque Industries is now awaiting a response from the NIJ to move forward with final testing and certification.
Once the NIJ-06 designation is received, Bourque will be eligible to fulfill orders for personal protection body armor for law enforcement nationwide.
Kryron Terminator armor has received substantial interest from many law enforcement agencies, and the NIJ certification is essential for Bourque to be awarded those contracts."
**Based on subsequent discussion ON THIS BOARD I was giving it 60-90 days. We are still in that range.
**JB's announcement at the Naples demo put a question in my mind. Was he saying the 7/8/11 submittal was botched...again?
Had BORK "gone rogue" writing their own spec? I don't know..
If BORK did screw the pooch with non-conforming submittals...
Then NIJ rejected it and BORK is back to making conforming prototypes for a new submittal...another 180K?...another 60 -90 days?
Well, maybe BORK waits for NIJ well into 2012 as "Flatcat" was hoping.
I'd just like to have a concrete sense of what happened and where BORK is in the system.
