I think it is good that the top rate for individuals is lowered to that o corporations, my preference would have been something like 36% for both to make it more revenue neutral, but not with the dividend deal, that deal is going to cause a bunch of people that have not incorporated to do so and pay them selves dividends. I think that together with that cut, they should probably raise the ceiling on payroll taxes to the $150,000 level to make it more fair to the lower tax bracket people, maybe even make the first $15,000 of income Payroll tax free. Lost patience and entered ERTS here at 48.65... almost $4 discount to yesterday's sale. AMD also went a little earlier at $7.37, just $.52 on that one.

Marv, What I don't understand about the dividend argument is why there is any debate on it at all. Taxes on dividends is just plain wrong. It's double taxation and shouldn't be there in the first place regardless if it will help the economy or not. It's just like the inheritance tax. I have a small business and pay my taxes. Why should my heirs be taxed again when I pass it on to them? The dividend tax should be eliminated because it is just bad law.
