O/T: Seems to me that law students must first go through law school...and then pass the bar exam......and that is just to be ABLE to practice law. A lot of testing, no doubt.
But that's only the beginning steps to an actual law career, however.
One must then take his education and license to practice out to the marketplace.
There, he would need to prove his worth to a potential employer, or begin to establish his own clientele/revenue stream.
From that point, one would then likely desire to expand his client base in the hopes of bringing in more and greater revenue.
The above process is usually a long and ongoing one, taking a number of years to achieve the ultimate successes that are anticipated from the first days, way back, of law school. His viability in the marketplace would seem to me to be measured in degrees..... as his education and newfound experiences lead him to hopefully continued and growing profitable ventures in law.
