Pacific Growth Comments On ZRAN

Brian Alger at Pacific Growth put out his earnings preview on several companies today, including ZRAN. He says ZRAN will have no problem meeting Q4 guidance, and digicam may provide upside to Alger's own forecast (which is already at the high end of forecasts). He says management will probably be bullish. He maintains his overweight rating. I have pasted his comments on ZRAN below -
Zoran Corporation (ZRAN, Over Weight, $15.14)
We expect Zoran will have no difficulty meeting our Q4:02 expectations. The
Company entered the quarter with conservative guidance, acknowledging the turns
nature of the December quarter. We believe Zoran is well positioned with both
strong Chinese customers and the only DVD decoder chip with integrated
progressive scan, NTSC/PAL encoding, and front end circuitry. Additionally, we
believe digital camera sales were strong and may provide some upside to our
forecast. On the call, management will likely be bullish, confidently
discussing improving ASPs, market share, and fundamental opportunities.
