Hmmm - Customer spending was better than expected and revenues will beat - er, ah, ok, meet expectations. I see no other way to read that statement than to assume that they had highballed expectations - If not, then why are revenues not going to beat expectations if spending is better than expected. Perhaps the customers were spending more but with EMC's competitors????
Either way, I find such a statement hardly justifies such a surge in price in AH trading.
