One of the chickens is getting out of the fence and helping herself to my ripening tomatoes. That usually doesn't end well for the chicken. If I can catch her, I'll pen her up separately and give her to a co-worker. Its a shame too, this is one of my "Missouri Super Egg Machine No. 365" breed.
seriously.....they are superior laying chickens but when they get in my garden, its outa here! If it was a dual purpose bird with meat on its bones, it would be in the freezer already.
