My basic point is that I agree with you 100% on the fact that ALL nations and peoples are capable of atrocities and genocide given the right conditions.

i add the genocidal society of the evil blood cult of the Evil(and i MEAN evil) Theocratic Aztec Empire, i also add the recent findings pointing to a massive genocide event in Peru long before europeans even knew there was a 'new world'
I remind that they that built those Statues at Easter Island the mystery of their virtual vanishment but for a precious few( remnants that had lost all meomry of their past, who themselves had no idea where the Statues came from) was solved when it was proven by finding huge piles on human bones in caves and such( tooth marks of gnawing on bones), that they had vanished by being killed and then being eaten by their own kind.
The people of Easter Island overpopulated and exhausted their environment, the battle for food became desperate, they broke into warring groups, and steadily killed and ate themselves into a civilization lost.
