You plant any sun flowers for your chickens?
They go nuts over those seeds.

I'm growing for my chickens........
Sunflower seeds
Pumpkins
Corn

I doubt it will happen this year due to the cold wet spring right on into July but watermelons for them also.

We finally had 4 days of sun first time this year. My corn is normally 6 feet at this time it is around a foot now that give you an idea how bad it's been.

Counting on August September to bail me out. Even good October.

Winter squash problem--we've had a lot of rain here in Chicago area this month--rainiest July on record, 7th wettest month ever.
My winter squash appears to be splitting,cracking along the stems a few inches from the where it emerges--some look soft/moldy.
I assume it is from the rain, but any tips on how to check for squash borers\Thanks--
