That is the pure essence of the fifth amendment. Its sole purpose was to instruct that a person could not be compelled to testify if that testimony would incriminate them. The ONLY reason someone takes the fifth is because what they would be required to divulge would incriminate them.
I know that's the reason because it's the ONLY reason to take the Fifth. This has been explained many times on these boards. Do you just ignore all that stuff?
